Durian Down Under

Look at what I found this morning at Woolworths...it’s a Durian! That’s pretty funny seeing as only a Woolworths at Sunnybank would have that. For those of you who don’t know what it is, it’s actually a fruit believe it or not. It’s eaten by most Asians while the rest of the people just think it smells. Therefore it is very much an acquired taste. For those of you who want to see what a Durian looks like intside just click on this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durian
I also found two quotes from that site which describes the durian
"A rich custard highly flavoured with almonds...but there are occasional wafts of flavour that call to mind cream-cheese, onion-sauce, sherry-wine, and other incongruous dishes"
and
"Its odor is best described as pig-shi*, turpentine and onions, garnished with a gym sock. It can be smelled from yards away"
By the way yes people do look at me when I take photos in a shopping center.
